Welcome to Just Poppy Talk!

Hey! Welcome to Just Poppy Talk! We're so glad to have you! We have been working really hard and can't wait to start sharing with you guys! We thought we'd get the basics out of the way to get things started. Who We're just three women, Brittany, Caity, and Sally who honestly want to do some good. We know we don't have all the answers. In fact we probably have more questions than answers. We're just looking for peace and choosing to love the lives we're living. And we really just want to help others to do the same. (If you want to know more about each of us individually, visit our Bios) What We want Just Poppy Talk to be a place where judgments are put aside and we can just be women who are real, who are faithful and who want to share goodness. We want you to come here when you need to be uplifted, or when you need a good laugh, or even for a DIY or recipe every now and then. But most importantly we want this to be a safe place where you can share with us. We want to hear about your struggles and triumphs! We want to hear your questions and connect with you. We are constantly inspired by the women in our lives and we can't wait to be inspired by you! Why Like we said, we just truly want to do some good. There is a lot of ugly out there, especially on the internet, revolving around women. We're living in a world that degrades women, and bombards us with messages that we're not pretty enough, smart enough, or doing enough. We want to be a different voice. A voice that speaks peace in a world swimming with negativity. We have felt inspired by the encouragement of our church leaders for women to stand up and be a light. We want to use our voices to help women find peace in the chaos, and ultimately make our world a little kinder. We want to share our testimonies of Jesus Christ and the ways His gospel has impacted our lives personally. We want to share the joys and the troubles of our hearts. And we want you to share yours with us. There are few things stronger than a community of women who love one another and uplift each other. We want to laugh with you and cry with you, and we really hope you'll join us on the journey! We love our sisters in the gospel, but we also really love our sisters who have different faith, or no faith. We hope you'll come back, even if you don't love Jesus like we do! We promise we'll talk about other stuff too! We didn't start Just Poppy Talk to write about God everyday. Though, if you want to read that we've got some great books for you! ;) We started this blog to build a community of women who can lift one another and share stories and struggles to inspire each other to find peace in our lives, no matter what that looks like. This is about our journey as women to recognize our true worth and find joy even in hard, chaotic, and messy times. We chose a Poppy to represent this community because obviously, Poppies are cheery and bright, and they are widely seen as a symbol of peace. But oddly enough, the Poppy is considered a weed in many places because it grows so wildly and freely. They can bloom even in the most difficult of conditions as long as they have sunlight. We want to be like poppies, to bloom and thrive wherever we're planted. And we want to help you do the same. We love you guys already and can't wait to get things started! Please comment/email us (poppytalkblog@gmail.com) with anything you'd like to share or ask. We promise to get back to you! That's really what this is all about. We’re on instagram, facebook, pinterest, bloglovin, you name it! Give us a follow to stay up to date with whats happening around here at Just Poppy Talk. Xo Brittany, Caity, and Sally
